Rivers journalist, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Monday, July 17, 2023, said the incident happened at Chokota in Igbo-Etche town. The woman, who was unnamed in the coverage, was reported to have being pregnant for two years and went to a community centre for help. A free medical treatment clinic had been set up by a local pastor and the woman's labour was apparently brought on. Crowds gathered to watch with local media reporting an infant goat-like animal covered in a pool of blood on the concrete floor. Footage has also been released showing the blood-soaked animal which locals say backs up the bizarre claims. The incident was said to have taken place in the city of Port Harcourt in Nigeria and was first reported on social media, before being picked up in the country's regional news websites including Nigeria Today, the Daily Post and the Herald.

  A 10-month-old baby girl was rescued in a bush in Ghana after her mother buried her in a forest at Krobo-akye near Senya Breku in the Central region of Ghana. According to witnesses who spoke with Adom News, they heard cries and followed the sound only to find the baby girl buried in a makeshift grave in the bush.     One of the residents, Yaa Grace said they quickly alerted the police leading to her rescue.    The Anambra State Government has secured the arrest of a couple and one other for suspected human trafficking in Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state. The feat was achieved when the community Chairman, Mr Arinzechukwu Azodo, notified the Women Affairs Commissioner, Hon.
