28-Year-Old Man Dies After Falling Into Grave During Burial in Bunyala West


The funeral of a church member in Marenga, Bunyala West Ward, Budalang’i Constituency took a tragic turn when a 28-year-old man identified as Emmanuel Makokha lost his life after accidentally falling into the grave of the deceased.




According to the area chief, Makokha was a drummer (mpiga ngoma) at the funeral ceremony and had been actively involved in the proceedings. The atmosphere reportedly turned chaotic when, in a sudden and tragic moment, he slipped and fell into the open grave.


Witnesses say the incident happened as emotions ran high during the burial.
